blog 3 Reflection unit 1
First and foremost, I would like to say that this class has taught me so much about what culture really means and I look at it from a different perspective. Culture can mean many things to different people depending on their traditions and beliefs. Culture has many aspects I now consider that I did not before. For example, social organization plays a significant role in culture and is especially important in many cultures. Language in culture is crucial because that is how we all communicate and understand each other. Customs and traditions in culture are the part where you learn how people celebrate certain holidays and their ways. Art and literature, I learn about the art and music of any culture, and it is beautiful to learn from different perspectives. Religion is the most important for me since it is what you believe, and other people's beliefs differentiate from each other, and you can make comparisons. Another important thing I learned is the not-fun part of the culture, but it is necessary to keep everything in order, which is the forms of government that culture has within.
Critical insight: one significant point that stuck with me was the idea that culture is not a static but rather a dynamic force. It evolves and adapts with time, impacted by forces such as globalization and migration.
Aha Moment: My Aha moment came when we were discussing the topic of cultural hybridity. It was obvious that people might belong to multiple cultures at the same time, resulting in a woven fabric of identity.

I Did not know That: I had no clue culture preservation was so crucial in maintaining a sense of identity. Also, I had no idea that culture has forms of government that people also follow.
