Blog 10 Reflection unit 2

     Popular culture is a combination of things, people, events, and places that represent society and its beliefs. It considers many characteristics actual and imagined that work to people everywhere. Cultural icons comprise a wide range of things such as Barbie toys, rap songs, Michelle Obama shopping mall Hollywood Popular culture has an essential effect on people's daily lives, guiding choices, and behaviors from morning to night. Culture refers to the body's beliefs, behaviors, values, and thoughts. I learned about the crazy Fads. Fads are temporary trends or behaviors that become popular for a brief time within a specific culture or society. For example, flipping bootless, barbie doll, Demain jacket, etc. I learned about the decades, what was famous then, and what is celebrated now. They represent the changing character of popular culture during their most popular period, can have a substantial effect on buying habits and as well as society. 

There was one link about “What makes a star.” and we must sign. It was like group work, with three topics: Michael Jackson, Adela, Lady Gaga, and the Kardashians. It was an article I learned that Whether in entertainment athletics or any other field, becoming a star often requires a combination of talent, hard work, dedication, and proper opportunities. Stars usually have unique abilities or qualities that set them apart from others in their industries. A combination of charm, public appeal, and the ability to connect with audiences or fans.  I learned about many stars, their failures successes achievements how they became success their childhood. It was fun getting to know about the all-stars in class.  

      I learned about the history of what was famous at that time and what was in trend.  About movies and TV product events from the 70s to 2010. The 1970s was a historical era in popular culture, introducing several significant trends and developments in music, movies, and product design. During this period, several types of music such as disco, punk, and rock and roll continued to grow through their individual musical styles, iconic musicians, and bands. We have mentioned one famous person in music, James Brown. The 1970s saw the start of essential directors like Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, and George Lucas, who opened the way for a new era of cinematic narrative with films like Jaws, Star Wars, Marathon Man, and Deer Hunter, which we have shown tailer on the class. We learn many things about the 70s. It was a group presentation, but it was fun discussing topics and doing a presentation with friends.  

TED talk was quite tricky for me. I watched this video more than 3 to 4 times. I took notes, and later, I understood. Why Pop Culture by Alexandre explains his childhood experience. He talked about how popular culture represents our values, beliefs, and sense of belonging. I learned about pop culture design, fashion, food, and movies from that time to now. Everything we did in class was exciting, with different topics and everyday presentations. I learned about all the cultures, fashions, dresses, and more.
