Reflection Unit 3

In unit 3, I got into the film industry's historical roots, identifying its complicated filmmaking from the 80s and studying cinema's transformational evolution during that era. This fun journey exposed the term of the movie industry. The Academy Award refers to the Oscar Award, the biggest festival in the industry, and different genres like action movies, comedy, and thriller movies. The box office is how much money they earn, and there are many other terms for the movie. It was a great movement to talk about the movie. I got to know many things. The next thing I learned is about movie history, how they used to take video record music, and how they changed slowly. The 1930s was the golden age when the movie was in black and white color, the 1950s wide screen 3D, the 1960s new Hollywood, the 1970s creativity blockbuster, the 1980s formulaic computer graphics 4D 1990s/2000s Oscars, and in 1939, they kept the official name, Oscar. Academy Awards like this make the change in the movie. Now, Hollywood is famous all over the world. I learned the difference between Hollywood movies, Bollywood movies, and Tyler movies.

There was a video about Movie magic. Watching this video was difficult because he spoke so fast every time I had to pause the video and take notes. Through this, I learned to take notes. It has four intersections: Art, Industry, technology, and Politics. The film is a magic trick blending literature, drama, photography, and music. He mentioned learning about Vision's trick about your eyes. Film excites because of happy accidents, technological innovation, and scientific products. The movie Undenary and an Internet Hunt is Hollywood, Paramount Picture, Warner Bros, and Tyler Perry Studios. The movie Puzzle is fun and exciting.

I learned about the movie genre, and there was a link. I opened it, and there was a lot of information related to the movie genre. We did a presentation about this. My topic was biopics, which is the combination of biographies and pictures. It is all about personal information. We all gave a presentation about the genre adventure, comedy, action, crime, war, etc.

The last thing was about Tyler Perry's Money Machine. This was the difference between Hollywood movies and Tyler movies. In today's world, most of the young generation want to watch Hollywood movies. Hollywood movies spend lots of money and mainly talk about love, sex, and action, whereas Tyler's movies are essential in human life and focus less money on black people. Aww, a moment in the class was when I watched the movie trailers and talked about the general; it was just an aww moment. I had fun in class.
