Course Reflection
I learned many things about the culture, fashion, movies, and more this semester. On the first day of the class, we introduced ourselves, and my class journey began. Culture from different countries their religious. The first lesson was about culture. I learned the definition of the culture and how culture is formed. Culture means thinking, making, and doing. I learned about the different aspect of the culture and their meaning. Social organization, languages, customs and traditions, art and literature, religion, the form of government, and economic system. I learned about the iceberg. I got to know about the reflection on the cultural identity of America. Through this, I also get to explore my own culture in class. Concept about the anthropological of culture Concept. Characteristics of culture.
The second lesson discussed how things like famous dolls, songs, and people are influenced. We also learned about things that have been popular for a short time, like fads. We looked up successful, famous people and discussed how things like music, movies, and TV shows have changed. Lately, I watched the video about the TED talk, and it was hard to listen many times. This lesson is fun. Pop culture has been alive in a combination of things, people, events, and places representing society and its beliefs. Before starting this class, I did not know the names of many famous artists, but I got to know them through this little bite.
In the 3rd lesson, I learned about the history of cinema. I found it fascinating how the industry has evolved from black-and-white colorful films to wide-screen 3D movies. We discussed movie magic and how movies use literature, drama, photography, and music to create illusion. I presented on biopics, a movie about real people's lives. We also discussed the difference between Hollywood and Tyler Perry's movies. The best part about the Oscar award was the red carpet on the floor.
Overall, the whole class was excellent.
